Why Vegetarian or Vegan?

vegetarian is an old indian proverb for bad hunterI don't mind being considered a bad hunter. As a matter of fact, I find it to be quite an honor, since I don't like to eat my friends.

Now would be a good time for us to try and reduce the consumption of toxins in the things we eat, drink and use in/on our bodies. Toxins pull down our energy levels making us feel sluggish. They can also block our ability to use our intuitive gifts, interfering with our spiritual growth.

The main toxins we should try to avoid are:
Meat, fish, and fowl, because they are contaminated with hormones and pesticides. Virtually all animal flesh and by-products (milk, eggs, cheese, etc.) currently have residues of hormones and pesticides. You may want to try to adopt a vegetarian lifestyle or a near vegetarian lifestyle, where you eliminate animal products once or twice a week. Vegetarianism has come a long way in the last few years.

Today nutritional science is illuminating that all plants contain protein and at least 14% of the total calories in plants contain protein. Multiple studies have shown that if you are meeting your caloric needs through plant-based nutrition, you will satisfy your body’s protein requirement. Putting aside all the research out there about how much protein the human body actually needs, strangely enough there are a lot of ways to get this vital element in your diet without meat. Shocking, I know.

The livestock industry is one of the largest contributors to environmental breakdowns worldwide. Raising animals on a massive scale contributes to deforestation, air and water pollution, land deterioration, and the overuse of resources. In truth the livestock sector emerges as one of the top two or three most significant contributors to the most serious environmental problems at every scale, from local to global.

If we as the individual cannot make significant changes we will suffer. The Earth is in transition whether or not we like it, whether or not we think it is all hocus-pocus, whether or not we are too lazy or lethargic to make a change. The goal is to increase the “vibrational frequency” of our bodies so that we are more receptive to higher consciousness, especially during the coming onslaught of drastic environmental changes. Earth’s accelerated frequency is going higher, finer. We can benefit greatly from this as we become more intuitive, creative, and naturally more energized.

Many are feeling guided to adopt a vegetarian diet. If you feel compelled to delete certain foods or beverages from your diet, mentally ask your ‘heart-mind’, the representative of your sub-conscious, to heal certain cravings so that you won’t miss that particular food(s). You will be amazed at how easily you can give up toxic foods and drinks.

A healthy diet is a prime factor in how our brain performs. It is the booster of intelligence and also alters our psychological conditioning of the mind.
